Hi, Fil here! Because I am a dragon, I have been around for a long time. As they say, “This ain’t my first rodeo.” There have been a lot of difficult times I’ve had to face down and be brave above all these centuries. These difficult times all have a lot of things in common. Firstly, they always appear like these events have never happened before and won’t ever happen again. Each of “these terrible times” seems unique, but they are not. A second thing they have in common is that usually all mankind tends to ignore the concerns of the time. This COVID-19 period is not unlike past events, however, like past events, it also brings a similar gift of awareness: human acts of kindness that make a difference and highlighting the importance of family, neighbors, and community. We learn to appreciate the danger of “leaders” who make it up as we go along. Always stand tall and be courageous, and question “the leaders.”

Oh, and always be kind, be a good listener, and do not judge others. Live each day in gratefulness and be humble and find ways to make a difference. That is when the magic happens!

“To develop peace, you must first have patience.”

~ Fil, the friendly dragon
