Clarification Summary- Maine Families Network In Education (aka “MFN”)
Who and what is Maine Families Network?
- MFN is a Maine based non-profit. It is incorporated in the State of Maine . (August 2012). It is statewide in vision and local in origination. MFN is also a IRS designated Public Charity/Non Profit. (April 2014)
- MFN identifies a family as any adults or group of adults who assume responsibility for the growth , intellect, values, and physical skills for the children in their life.
- MFN’s mission is to strengthen Maine families by empowering, acknowledging and thanking parents for growing the future citizens of our society.
- MFN’s Mission is to promote a common interest that unites families ,not differences that separate families. MFN exists to build a community of networked Maine families.
- MFN’s mission is to promote parents as the key advocates for family/child issues: education, nutrition, ,environmental concerns and health and well being. Building productive lives for their children with options for their futures.
- MFN recognizes the idea that the home is the primary school for children.
- Parents are the natural teachers of their children. Parents and children evolve as natural teachers and students of each other.
- MFN identifies key building blocks for strengthening families-respect, responsibility and reliability. foundation for self reliance and reliability in society.
- MFN is not identified with any political party and has no interest in “politics” but instead is focused on individual and family enhancement. MFN believes there is a distinction between politics and the political process. Our Politial process defines our democratic society , therefore American Families.
